The Story Behind The Painting

Sunny, a luminous white mare with soft blue eyes, stands in a field of stillness and light, meeting you with a calm, knowing presence.

Painted in layered, textured and expressive oil marks, she carries both strength and gentleness within her form, her gaze steady and unhurried as if time itself has softened around her.

Created in a palette of whites, pale blues and creamy undertones, this work lives in that quiet in-between space where animal and viewer recognise something in each other without explanation.

Part of the Meet collection, this piece speaks to presence, curiosity and the deeply human experience of being seen.

An original oil painting by Shay Pappas, designed for collectors and interior designers seeking statement artworks in Australia,

Sunny invites you to step closer and let the connection unfold, she is available to bring that quiet presence into your home.
